What is PETRINKA Learning Club?
PETRINKA Learning Club is a private teaching service for pre-primary and primary school children. The service offers lessons in Art&Crafts and English as a foreign language (EFL) all year round. Occasionally, there may be offers on other subjects and topics. The place for such news would be on the "Services" page.
There are five crucial factors on which the learning success of a student depends: * motivation for learning * ability to learn * the support provided by his or her parents * the amount of time available for studying * a good teacher. Out of all, PETRINKA aims to provide the last two and affect the rest to a good extent. PETRINKA is a one man operation but may also partner with other teachers and/or organisations for better outcomes. Such organisations and places may be schools, museums, libraries, churches, youth organisations, etc. |
The work is done by teaching face-to-face or digitally, and in some cases, by hybrid teaching and studying (partly face-to-face and partly digitally). With digital teaching students should be even more proactive and independent learners to achieve their goals. A parent or another adult may be required to help with the technical setup and issues before and during an online lesson.
The service is aiming to provide quality education through an original mixture of old and new methods of teaching which have proved to be good at all times and can work together. Additional goal is the elimination of some practices of the mainstream schools that most often than not would lead to a failure (such as running through the material with an overwhelming pace, studying for tests and not for the life, doing the creative work before acquiring enough factual knowledge, etc.). Accents of the topics may vary, for example, sometime an accent is placed on learning thinking skills, and another time it may be the development of higher intellectual skills.
Who is the service suitable for? Every child with a genuine desire for learning and a positive attitude may benefit.
Petrinka Learning Club's lessons are not suitable for children with learning disabilities.
